The approval pipeline

Every application passes through a defined sequence of control desks. You can see exactly which desk holds your application at any time.

  1. 1. Submission & front desk

Your application and drawings are received, checked for completeness and logged with a unique reference.

  2. 2. Clearing & assessment

Technical officers assess the plan against the building code and compute the statutory fee.

  3. 3. Payment

You pay the assessed fee securely online through the government revenue gateway.

  4. 4. Vetting & records

Structural, planning and records desks vet the drawings and file the application.

  5. 5. Decision & conveyance

The General Manager issues a decision; approved plans move to sign-off.

  6. 6. Sign-off & approval

The approval is countersigned and your building-plan approval is issued.

  7. 7. Statutory inspections

GPS-verified site inspections at foundation, framing and finishing stages.

  8. 8. Certificate of Fitness

On passing the final inspection, your publicly-verifiable Certificate of Fitness is issued.
